send/receive not working

Since yesterday I have not received any emails. When I click send/receive,
nothing happens. Everything else is working fine, I can send, search, check
settings (which are fine, and the test account works) but for some reason i
cannot receive any emails. I should have at least 40 emails since yesterday
afternoon. Does anyone know how i can resolve this please?

Yes, first thing I did. Its our own server and there are no problems. IT
support are flummoxed and think I may need to re install Outlook, which
involves the monumental task of saving all my emails etc... was hoping to
find a simpler solution
