Send/Receive Operation Failed?

I am running Outlook 2002 on Windows XP home edition. When I press
Send/Receive in the toolbar I get a dialog box that says "operation failed".
However when I go into my email accounts and press test settings everything
works fine. I have tried to repair my installation from the Help menu item
but it did not resolve the problem. Any suggestions?

More information about this. I can send and receive from each account
individually but not when I pree the Send/Receive button on the tool bar.
When I try to configure send/receive groups nothing happens. In addition,
Send/Receive is not running automatically. Any ideas on how to resolve this
are appreciated.

Does anything appear in the Event log?

When I try to configure send/receive groups nothing happens.

Nothing happens when? When you try to configure the group or when you try
to use the group after configuring it?

In addition, Send/Receive is not running automatically.

Set an automatic send/receive interval in the same dialogue box where you
select your send/recive group for editing.
