Send/Receive Status

Suddenly I no longer see the Send/Receive status popup during a
send/receive? I tried Tools/SendReceive/SendReceive Settings/Show Progress
but all I get is a "1 of 1 Tasks Completed..." ( I used to see 4 tasks -
send and receive from each of 2 email accounts). It appears I am getting and
sending email OK?

The change I made recently was to add the new WinZIP outlook package?

Any thoughts appreciated.

You now get that dialog but don't see all the accounts?
If so, check your Send/Receive Groups and ensure the default Group has all
those accounts added - Outlook 2002 and 2003

I don't get any dialog unless I go through the Tools menu. I just tried the
"Send/Receive Groups" and it does nothing? I don't get any dialog?

Send a test email and click on the Send/Receive status at eh bottom of the
Outlook Window, Select Details and ensure it is not set to hidden.

Nope, the hide option is not checked? What is really weird is that even when
I close Outlook now, I get the "ding" when new mail arrives? I swear, I
haven't had anything stronger than a diet coke

automatic Send/Receive shouldn't show the dialogue if that's what you are
after.

The more I experiment the more it seems like there is an Outlook instance
running in the background? As I stated earlier, If I close Outlook, I still
hear the "Ding" announcing new mail. In the task manager there is only one
instance of Outlook but when I look at Processes, I see two instances of
Outlook.exe? What is going on?

I closed that 2nd Outlook.exe process and then things appeared normal (if I
closed Outlook, no mail was received and Send/Receive dialog works
correctly). I went through msconfig startup options but did not see anything
there that was starting outlook.exe so I did a restart and now, there is no
2nd outlook.exe (so far). I wonder if I somehow dragged a 2nd instance into
some place it didn't belong?

Chances are that you have another program which uses Outlook running. How
about a PDA synch program?
