Send/Receive with SpySweeper

WinXP Pro, Outlook 2007, Webroot SpySweeper
Send/Receive results in an error:
"...receive error 0x800CCC0F. The connection to the server was
interrupted..."
When I disable the "checking email attachments" in SpySweeper",
Outlook finishes downloading (receiving) without a problem.
I have tested this extensively by disabling Firewall, changing
Firewall, reinstalling SpySweeper, etc. I am confident that the
disabling email attachments is the solution, but why did it suddenly
happen after amicable coexistence and why is it blocking all receiving
mail, not just with attachments. I have mailed this to Webroot as
well.

Definitely a SpySweeper issue and not an Outlok issue. Maybe SpySweeper
received an update that has broken it somehow.
