Send/Recive problem

Baha

I am using Outlook 2003 with Win XP SR2 and an ISP- POP mail account . I do
not set any send/Receive schedules so I command the send/ recive when ever I
need to.
The send and receive command does not release the sent mail from the OUTBOX.
I use Norton 360 as my antivirus but Norton told me that should not cause
my problem.

This is an intermittent problem that is happening on average 70% of the
time. It happiness with:
• New, Reply or Forward,
• With our without attachments.
• Text or HTML or Word messages

What I end up doing is:
1.Close outlook >
2.Reopen Outlook >
3.Drag the message from the out box to the Draft folder >
4.Open the message and send it again>
5.Then it may be released.

Sometimes I have to repeat steps 1 – 5 several times before the message is
released.

Please help. This is my third post of this problem.

Norton lied. Norton's email scanner is by far the biggest cause of email
failures produced by any commercial software of any type. It is far more
invasive and disruptive than any malware its designed to keep out.
Uninstall Norton 360, run Norton's debris removal tool to cleanup the crud
the uninstaller leaves behind on your system, then do a custom re-install
WITHOUT any email scanning features/components/modules. You do not need
email scanning. It is entirely redundant, a total waste of time, and offers
NO additional protection whatsoever. Your system is FULLY protected without
it, provided you keep the resident file system scanner up to date.
