Send to Email

Operating System: Mac OS X 10.5 (Leopard)
Processor: intel

My "Send to Email" choice is grayed-out. I'd like to set it to go to Entourage. Strange, this was also the case in my previous version of MS Word for Mac, and it went out suddenly this year. Before that, it would send the open document to Apple Mail.

Any leads or ideas or solutions would be greatly appreciated!

There are two different Send to Email choices in Word. You can choose to
send the current document as an attachment, in which case the Send to
feature should work with most e-mail clients. If Entourage is set as your
default e-mail client, you even get a second option which saves the current
document as a webpage and then passes it on to Entourage.

If the menu command is greyed out, my guess is that your default mail client
is not recognised by Word. Do you happen to use Thunderbird?

Have you tried going into Entourage Preferences> General & clicking the
button to make it your default email client? You'll need to launch Word
again to get it to recognize the change.

(No, am not using Thunderbird BTW.)
