send to feature in word

I've cross posted to the general newsgroups, but I'd thought I'd try the technet newsgroups as well...

I am using Windows XP and Word XP. In Word XP, there is a "send to" feature. How can I get the "send to" feature to work with non-Microsoft e-mail clients? It this a setting in Word? Or is it part of the e-mail client? And yes, I have an inquiry into the e-mail software vendor (ExpressIT).

Thanks for any help you can provide.

Office Automation only works with Microsoft Outlook or Express (to some
degree crippled in Express.) LIkewise, mail merges, etc. only work with
Outlook/Express.

You would have to set your e-mail program as the default
mail program.
