Send to Mail Recipient button dimmed on Quick Access Toolbar

I have Word 2007 (non-commercial use) installed and have Outlook 2003
installed, but not working either. When I added the Send to Mail Recipient
button on the Quick Access toolbar, it is dimmed. Is this because I don't
have Outlook 2007 or because I have a non-commercial use version of Word?

Outlook must match the version of Word for you to be able to use the Send to
Mail link. So the answer is that you need to revert to Word 2003 or upgrade
OL to OL2007.
