Send to Mail Recipient doesn't launch

When I have a Word08 document open I can't launch the mail program with the "Send To" command. In fact the "Mail Recipient" option is grayed out and is not available. When I choose this command I see the multi-colored pinwheel for a few seconds but nothing launches. I already have Entourage08 as my default mail app. Any ideas of why it doesn't launch?

I suspect this is bad Preferences:

Try this:

Delete these two files:

~:Libraryreferences:Microsoft:Office 2008:Microsoft Office 2008
Settings.plist

where ~ is your home folder, and

HD:Applications:Microsoft Office 2008:Office:OfficePID.plist

When you start any Office app, you'll be asked to re-enter the CD Key and
all your user information.

Then test to make sure that Entourage actually starts when you start it
yourself. If Entourage won't run, Send To cannot operate.
