Send-To Mail Recipient program is wrong

P

Pete

Hi all

I have both OE6 (for newsgroups only now) and Outlook (eMail) on my box. The
installation of Outlook didn't correct the Send To Mail Recipient (Rt click
on a file in Explorer) to use Outlook (it still opens OE6). Clicking on a
MailTo link on a web page works fine though and correctly starts Outlook.

Does anyone know how this can be corrected? Am happy to mess with regedit if
need be!

I've tried toggling the setting in Outlook to make it the default mail prog,
but this has no effect. Examination of the Properties of the sendTo entry
for my profile doesn't give any clues either - I thought this was where it
could be tweaked!

It's Outlook 2003 SP2.

Thanks a lot

Pete

Close both Outlook and Outlook Express and start Outlook with the
/checkclient switch. Does this make a difference?
Does it work correctly for any other user of that computer? If not you might
want to do a repair on Office.
