No, mail can only be imported from Outlook.
If not, what is a good work around?

I never used gmail. Can it only used used as webmail (with a browser)
or can one use it with a mail-client (Outlook, Outlook Express, WinMail)
too?

Google Mail supports POP3 and therefore all the clients you mentioned.

Thanks!

Question remains: Which client might the OP be using?

But does that mean that there is a way to send gmail to OneNote?

YES, if you have Outlook and create an account for gmail.

Yes, by printing to the "printer" Send To Onenote, selected before printing.
Because I don't know if it is possible with the Web GUI of Gmail, I
mentioned the possibility of using a classic mail client, as Rainald
did. With such a mail client you can print/send your mail to ON.

YES, if you have Outlook and create an account for gmail.

Or, if you are using Internet Explorer, which provides for exporting
the current page, or the selected text on the current page, to a new
OneNote document. Versions prior to 8 (or maybe 7?) required a
PowerToy to do this, but it's built into 8.

Yes, it is possible. Since you probably don't want the entire web
page (with all the foofooraw like menus and such) saved to the
message, just select the text of the message that you wish to be
saved, and click the Send to OneNote icon in IE8 (and maybe IE7). If
that feature isn't present, you may have to install a PowerToy, or
just update to the current IE8 version which is better anyway.

The ON add-on for IE worked in IE6 already.
