Send to OneNote button not working in Outlook 2007

David

The send to OneNote button on my toolbar in Outlook 2007 is greyed out much
of the time and sometimes is active but not very often. Is this normal and
if not, can I do something to keep it active?

I have a similar problem except I don't have a button at all in IE 2007. In
Outlook, I can go under manage addins and I can see it there but greyed out.

Running Vista business on Sony laptop w/ office 2007 professional suite.

Please help.

I found somethings about the send to onenote button not running on 64k bit
systems here:

http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/products/FX101633871033.aspx?mode=print

if the link doesn't work, here's the text:

Question or Issue
Certain OneNote features are unavailable in 64-bit operating systems.

Answer
The Send to OneNote 2007 print driver and the Send to OneNote addin for IE
64-bit are unavailable on Windows computer running on a 64-bit OSes.

Is that what our problem is?

Appearently this isn't my problem. Digging further I found I've got a 32-bit
system.

Still stuck.

Anyone have any words of wisdom? This button was there before I moved to
Vista, when I was on Office 2007 on XP.

Any MPV 's want to take a stab at this. I have gone to trust center and made
sure the add in was enabled. The add in is ONBttnOL.dll. Any other thoughts
would surely be appreciated.

Hey David, a couple of things.

1) Try running Outlook as an administrator before trying to enable the
OneNote addin. If you have Vista, the Outlook icon that appears at the top
of the start menu doesn't allow this but if you go into All Programs ->
Microsoft Office, then right click on Outlook and run as administrator. This
is the only way to enable certain addins in Outlook.

2) In the trust center, check the Disabled Items list. Make sure it's not on
there or else enabling the addin won't have any effect.

3) Try to do a Detect and Repair operation in OneNote.

I apologized, I inadvertently replied to your message about a grayed out
button when I meant to reply to Smith43. I don't know why the button would
be grayed out unless another addin was interfering with the events that the
OneNote addin was getting.

Hey Josh!
Thanks for the reply. Good to hear from you again. I'm still plugging along
with TEO. Great Program, thanks for putting so much into it! Miss the super
support of yesteryear. Thanks again.

The only way to get this toolbar button back is to go into Add/Remov
Programs>>click change on Microsoft Office 2007. Then under th
Microsoft Office Onenote, you will see an Add-In field, expand it an
you will see options for Outlook and Internet Explorer. CLick on th
Outlook listing and make sure Run from My Computer is selected and the
click continue. The next time you open Outlook your button for Send t
One Note will be back and functioning
