Hello,
(I have OL2K w/ latest SPs - & of course OL Exp)
Here's one that I've thought about off and on for a while but haven't
come up w/ the ideal solution.
In addition to my ISP pop/smtp account, I have several email accounts
that allow me to select a forwarding address (no pop). These are all
set to forward to my pop account of course.
Within OL2K I've created additional email accounts that are the same
as my ISP's pop/smtp account but vary by the 'email' and 'replyto'
fields.
Whenever I wish, I can send a new email or reply to an email w/ that
'extra' account.
I typically sort incoming emials by several criteria including the
orignial 'to:' recipient. Problem is I don't always remember to use
that 'send' drop down box in the upper corner that corresponds to that
email addr.
So sometimes someone who sent me an email on 1 account (that forwards)
gets a response from me on another account (typically my default ISP
acct).
I'd like to have a rule, setup or some configuration or other that
automatically selects the account to use for outgoing email based on
the original emial addr it was sent to.
Keep in mind that all my email comes in under a single default pop
account but some of it is forwarded to that account (i.e. bigfoot,
IEEE.org etc...) And I have very specific business or personal reasons
(not to mention spam avoidance and privacy) for using certain accounts
for certain applications.
Thanks!
