Sending Contacts from Outlook

B

Bob

I have two identical machines with Office XP. I can
attach a contact to an email and mail it to the other
machine and it shows up as a contact, which can be saved
as a contact. When I try to do this in reverse the
contact gets converted to text and is usless. I am sure
its a setting but I don't know when one will fix it.

Send the message in Rich Text format.

It didn't work. I sent a new message and pasted in a
contact card and it still showed up on the other machine
as a text message, rather then a contact.

Do you have the e-mail address for the other computer in your Contacts list?
If so, open the contact record, double-click the e-mail address, and make
sure you don't have it set to always send to that address in plain text.

The address was not in my contact list, however, when I
start typing Outlook finished. This time I selected the
address and looked at the properties and changed the
Internet Format from Let Outlook decide to send in rich
text and it worked. Thank you very much for giving me the
suggestion
