Sending contacts via email

Someone sent me a Contacts.xnk file that I tried to open in Outlook but it
gave me an error. How can this person send me their entire contacts
list/folder?

They could copy it into a .pst file and send you that file in a .zip archive.

Ive created the .pst file but it wont let me copy stuff into it. I try to
drag a contact to the .pst file that I made and it does nothing. Also, I try
to open the .pst file and I get an 'Operation failed" error.

What happens when you select items and then use the Edit | Copy to Folder command?

I don't understand what you're saying about the .pst file. If you just created it, then it's already open in your current Outlook mail profile.
