Sending document from word using Entourage

Version: 2004
Operating System: Mac OS X 10.5 (Leopard)
Processor: Power PC

When I try to send a document from Word 2004 as an attachment (From the file menu in Word), it defaults to the Mail program that came with the machine. I would like to be able to have Entourage handle this and am wondering how I change the default mail program for Word and Excel. I'm sure it is something simple, but alas, so am I!

It has nothing to do with Word or Excel :) In Entourage> Preferences -
General click the button to "Set Entourage to be my default email client".

This option only works in Entourage 2008. Since the OP uses Entourage 2004,
he/she will have to open Mail, click on Mail>Preferences and set Entourage
as the default email reader in the General section.
