Sending e-mail error message

When I try to Send an e-mail in outlook I keep getting these two messages.....

Task.pop.mail.yahoo.com Sending reported error (0x80042109) The Operation
timed out waiting for a response from the sending (SMTP) server, If you
continue to recieve this message contact your server admin or internet
service provider

or this one

Task.pop.mail.yahoo.com Sending reported error (0x80042109) outlook is
unable to connect to your outgoing (SMTP) e-mail server. If you continue to
recieve this message contact your server admin or internet service provider

My Fiance and I get the same message so were not sure what to do.. I hope
you can help!! Thanks!!
