Sending E-mails through MAPI to Exchange Server

Hi,

I wish to be able to automate the sending of e-mails via
Access 97. The Oulook client is v8.02.4212 - you can
almost see the rust coming through!!
I am using the MAPI.Session interface for this purpose,
which connects to an Exchange 5.5 (SP5) mailbox.

The problem is that while the e-mails are generated
correctly in the 'Outbox', they sit there until someone
opens each one and clicks the 'Send' button - thus
defeating the object of automating the process.

Any clues would be greatly appreciated.
