Sending email in Word

Version: 2008
Operating System: Mac OS X 10.5 (Leopard)
Processor: Intel

I am a new Mac user. In 2007 I could send email from Word, not as an attachment, but directly. How do I do this in 2008? Also how do I run a Macro in 2008.
Many thanks for any help and direction.

Hi Keith -

The answer to both your questions is "You don't." Not to be curt, but it's
just that simple. Mac Word has never included the email option you're
looking for and a VBA interpreter (required for macros) was excluded in
Office 2008 - although it has been announced that VBA will be restored in
the next major release.

a work around might be if you have Acrobat 8, or 9 Pro for mac.

Save the item as a PDF. the open in Acrobat 8 or 9 and send as an email.

Note Only Mailsmith Eudora (before Mozilla took it over) Entourage, and
Outlook. Apple mail can be used to email the item. They have a
proprietary version of mBox that only allows those email Clients. any
other email clients such a SeaMonkey, or Thunderbird (gecko based) are
not allowed.
If you want the ability to email in Acrobat Reader 7 and up you must
turn own the ability to allow Reader to do so when you save the PDF.

You can actually compose your email in Word and then send it via Entourage.
Once the document is ready, just click on File>Send to>Mail Recipient (as
HTML). Note that this option is only available if Entourage is set up as
your default mail client. Also, once the message has been passed on to
Entourage, you can no longer modify it.

Thanks for the reminder, Michel - I had forgotten about that because I
ceased & desisted from routinely sending HTML email ~2 years ago... And I
don't use Entourage as my main email client at home.
