Sending email on behalf of in Outlook 2002

A

Argonous

I recently had to install a new hard drive after the other went bad. Since I
lost all my data, I have had to reconfigure everything from scratch. I seems
I have run into a snag with Outlook 2002.

I have a 4 “top-level†email accounts through my web hosting service. Under
each of these accounts, I have several “alias†email accounts. Here is a
rough example of how it is set up:

Top-level Account : (e-mail address removed)
Alias Account #1: (e-mail address removed)
Alias Account #2: (e-mail address removed)
Alias Account #3: (e-mail address removed)

Only the top-level account is set up to Send and Receive, while the aliases
are set up only to send. Also, aliases have to log in under the top-level
account name and password.

When I send an Outlook Test Message form Outlook's Account Manager during
setup, the message goes through, and does show up as being sent from the
alias account. The problem is when I compose a new email the standard way,
and choose the an alias in the “From†field, the message is sent out “on
behalf of†the top-level account, so the person receiving the email sees :
From: (e-mail address removed) on behalf of (e-mail address removed)

There seems to be plenty of information out there on how to correct this if
you are on an Exchange Sever, but since this in on a single home PC, I can
not seem to find a solution. Anyone have any ideas? I know I could set up
top-level accounts for each alias, but then I run into the Outlook 2002
problem of only allowing 4 Send/Receives before it starts encountering errors.

Thanks in advance!
