Sending emails, I periodically get this error message.

When I send an email to someone, I get this error message:

This message could not be sent. Try sending the message again later, or
contact your network administrator. The client operation failed. Error is
[0x80004005-00000000-0x000501].

I can usually send email to this person over and over again, but at times, I
get that error message. Please help?

Account type? Outlook version? Is that the full and complete text of the
error? From what address does the error appear to come?

I have a user who is sporadically getting this same error message and I'm not

What "same error message"? Please quote the post you are replying to.
You are probably not aware but this is not a forum, rather you are using a
clumsy web access to a Usenet News group.
You will get a far better experience if you use a news reader. (Unless you
are behind a corporate firewall of course)

From what address does the error appear to come? - System Administrator

Any help you may provide is greatly appreciated.

Does it make any difference if you turn off Cacahed Exchange mode?

Brian, thanks for the quick reply. I haven't tried that, but definitely
will. I'll let you know if/when it happens again. I may not be able to
reply quickly, because it doesn't happen that frequently. But thanks again
and I'll let you know.

Ah yes the Socratic method of trouble shooting. ;)
unfortunately I’m in the same boat as James....I cannot readily duplicate
the issue but i will post as soon as it appears again unless James beats me
to the punch.... this issue isn’t a big of a problem for me(very
infrequent), I just can't stand not knowing the cause of this unusual
NDR....I’m actually losing sleep.... :)

Well, i'm able to reply quicker than I anticipated. I tried turning off
Cached Exchange Mode and it still didn't work. I still get the exact same
error message. I even tried creating a new profile within Outlook and still
got the same message. This has to be one of the most complicated issues to
troubleshoot. Again Brian, I appreciate any help, ideas and/suggestions you
may have. Can't wait to get this resolved.

Alas, I have no additional suggestions. I searched the MS Knowledgebase for
"client operation failed" and suggested what looked to me the most likely
first thing to try. The rest of the articles that I found didn't seem close
enough in description to be related, but who knows? Why not take a look at
them?
