Sending emails using my cell phone to connect to the internet

When traveling I take my laptop with me and connect to the internet via my
cell phone when I need to.
I have found an unusual problem that I cannot seem to figure out. When ever
I connect using my cell phone I can receive emails fine. But when I try and
send emails they do not get sent.

Does anyone ahve any clues as to why this is??

Everything works fine when I connect via wireless network or plug in network.

This one has me stumped. I suspect I may have to make a change in the phone
since that it the only time it is happening.

Help?

Thanks

Bob

You're outgoing server (smtp) will only accept emails when you are connected
to the same network (or ISP). When roaming, you are using a different
network provider. You can ask them if they have an smtp server you can use,
or use another service which allows you to send emails via their smtp server
once authenticated with e.g. username and password - for example google
email allows you to do that. Do a google search for "roaming smtp".

You are way off posting this message here. I suggest you try a forum that
deals with issues with your brand of cell phone or possibly the carrier you
are using.
