Sending error - not allowed relaying thru MTA

Hello,

I have a user who gets error emails when sending
messages. The trouble email address is different each
time and the error report email comes back instantly, like
it is generated inside Outlook 2003. The email is from
System Administrator with no header available under the
options menu.

The following recipient(s) could not be reached:
'Chuck Connors - Omni Services, Inc.' on 1/27/2004
10:19 AM
553 sorry, that domain isn't allowed to be
relayed thru this MTA (#5.7.1)

I upgraded the user from 2000 in hopes of fixing the
problem. We hhave direct DSl and use the same Co as our
email provider. The erros only happens when sent from
this one machine.

Any help is gratly appreciated as I am sure everyone would
agree telling the boss it can't be fixed sucks.

Go into the properties of the email account and select more settings and
then Outgoing Server and see if checking My Outgoing Server requires
authentication helps

Thanks for the assistance. Our email provider does not
support the authentication. All other mail accounts work
w/ same settings and this computer works most of the time.

Are these actual emails that your user has sent! If they are then is there
any comparisons especially on the sending email account. Are all your email
accounts from the same ISP and do you use the same connection to send the
email.

The messages that are creating the undeliverable error
email are emails we are trying to send out to different
external customers. I do not see any thing in common with
the intended receipants, different comapny, w & wo
attachments.

I have been in touch with MS tech support but have not yet
received word if it is even possinble for Outlook to
generate emails from'System Administrator' Since it is
intermittent and is resolved by restarting outlook
troubleshooting is not easy.

Any suggestions appreciated.
