Sending errors

Using Entourage 2004 Mac G5.

Have two email accounts: (1) My university account, (2) a .Mac account. The
ISP is the university.

The U does not allow send/receive via port 25.

Because of this I have .Mac account configured to send mail via the U SMTP
server. This works flawlessly with Mac Mail.

In Entourage 2004 mail sent from the Mac account via U SMTP server cannot be
sent to addresses that are not part of the university domain. Plus messages
from this account that are received lack any domain information. In
addition, the "undeliverable" message is send to U email, versus .Mac.

Example:
If I send a message from .Mac account ([email protected]) to a university email
address ([email protected]), the message is delivered; however, the from address
is "xxxx" but not "(e-mail address removed)."

If I send a message from .Mac account ([email protected]) to any other email
address ([email protected]), the message is undeliverable. The "undeliverable"
response is sent to my (e-mail address removed) account.

These issues do not occur with Mac Mail.

Any configuration suggestions?

You can try looking into the advanced settings and play with
quthentication. It is possible that the SMPT server requires you to
authenticate with your user name and password.
