sending faxes

Line is unavailable. Checked everything but cannot find a way to correct this
problem. Modem is working correctly. Dial tone on the line. But fax remains
pending.

You provided no information.
At a minimum we would need to know what fax software you are using, how you
configured it, how you are sending faxes and exactly what happens, including
the exact error messages.

I am using Microsoft Fax.
The message that I get when I query the modem is " The modem failed to
respond.
Make sure it is properly connected and turned on. If it is an internal modem
and is connected, verify that the port for the interupt is property set."

I do have an internal modem, 56K, this used to work but now is not working.
I am not sure what the port for the interupt is properly set means?

Microsoft Fax? You mean from Windows 95?
That error message means you have a hardware problem, not a fax software
problem. None of this would have anything to do with Outlook.
