Sending from 3rd party application - change subject line

In Outlook 2002, when a third party application, the Address book menu comes
up and then the email itself, so that you can add text to the message and
alter the subject line.

In Outlook 2003, the message goes after you choose from the Address book,
and I cannot find a way to make changes before it moves on to the "wait 5
seconds warning" box, and then the email is gone.

Is there a way to get 2003 to let you edit the message before it goes?

They told me that was an Outlook problem, but now that you mention it, they
probably wrote the original command for an earlier Outlook. I see that
Internet Explorer brings up the Word/text entry page itself, which makes more
sense.

a final note, I just realized Outlook 2002 will open the text entry email
window if there is no one in the to field of the address book, but Outlook
2003 assumes you want the first entry (because it's highlighted) and
therefore doesn't open the email, but instead just sends it on to the
highlighted contact. I am going to ask the third party to call Outlook in
the same way as IE, and not the Address Book.
