I have a unique problem, and I can't seem to find a specific answer
anywhere. Here is my problem: We are using Microsoft Exchange 2003,
and all users are running Outlook 2003. We would like to be able to
let all mail, internal and external, go through the Exchange Server.
It would be simpler because users wouldn't have to remember to change
the account before sending.
We can send external email through the server fine, the problem is the
"From" listing shows the recipient, the sender's internal Exchange
address, rather than their Internet address. Therefore, when anyone
outside our company tries to reply to a message, it will reply to the
internal address, and as those addresses only exist within our
company, the reply will fail.
Is there a way to have Exchange show a user's internet email address
rather than the Exchange address when sending mail externally? Thanks
in advance for any help.
