It's 0x800ccc0e. This is usualy caused by incorrect settings in the account
configuration.
I have a user with the same issue (Outlook 2000). He also has a socket
error under OE6 (10061) and both have the error code 0x800CCC0E.
He CAN ping the mail server and access the file shares on it.
I setup his account (same settings for both OE6 and Outlook2000) and it does
NOT throw any errors. OE6 won't let him delete any messages, so he has a
LARGE message store.
I'm still looking for a resolution (upgrade IE, which is at 7, to IE8 RC1
might work) or Outlook to 2003 or 2007.
I'd had an issue with IE7 not updating and the update to IE8 RC1 solved that.
