Sorry for the Cross-post. I might have better luck here since the other
office group doesn't look like it sees a lot of activity.
I have a user that prefers to use Eudora as a mail client. Outlook 2000 was
installed once upon a time (as part of the Office 2000 installation) but it
was never used. The problem is that when she is within Word or Excel and
wants to send the active document to some one via email, the Send To Mail
Recipient function keeps launching the Outlook Profile box as if to
configure a profile for Outlook. But Outlook is no longer installed.
Another user with the same software build has no problems. Regardless if
Eudora is opened or closed, selecting the Send To Mail Recipient function
will launch Eudora if it is not opened or opens a new mail message if it is
already opened.
My question is how do I force Word and Excel to use Eudora as the mail
client. I made sure that Eudora is the default client in the Internet
Options of Internet Explorer. I even reinstalled Eudora and selected it as
the default mail client. None of these worked. I couldn't find anything in
the Microsoft knowledgebase either. Word and Excel still want to try to set
up an Outlook profile.
Thanks for any help.
