You still left out too much information to solve this.
I'll try to fill in the blanks.
Do unsent messages actually remain in the Outbox when you poll Account #2?
Message remain in the Outbox with the note "This message has not been
sent" (or something to that effect.)
What command did you use to initiate the Send from the New message window?
I'm confused by the term "New message window" so I'm not sure how to
answer this. Here's the process:
After composing message I click on send which puts the message in the
Outbox. Then I click on "Send and Receive" and a drop down box opens
with my choices for accounts to use. I click on one of the accounts
and another window opens that shows activities, such as "sending mail
on account.... " if there is a message in the Outbox and "receiving
mail on account..... If I already have a connection to the internet
the activities are executed, if I am not connected to the internet
another window opens asking me what dialup connection to use.
My problem again is when I select the non-default service to use and I
have at least one message in the outbox when the activity winodw opens
it only shows an activity for receiving mail, never an activity to
send mail.
(PS - when I was reproducing the events described above I noticed one
other artifact. After I had tried the non-default account and the
message was not sent, I then went tot he default account and it also
did not recognize that a message was waiting in the outbox. I had to
delete that message and place a new one in the Outbox and then the
default mail account would again recognize a message was ready to
send.)
BTW Russ, thanks for commenting on my issue. I hope I've given you
enough info, but if not I'm open for more questions.
