This one is a bit complicated but I will try my best.
I have set up Exchange 2000 on a 2000 sbs. There are 10
people in the office who, in the past, used to get there
mail from a service provider using POP3. For reasons which
are too long to go into, they have to continue using the
service provider and now upload thier mail onto the
Exchange server. I have configured this using POP3 for
incomming and SMTP for outgoing and all works well.
However, the company have an office with 2 people at a
different location. They also get their mail from the
same service provider using POP3.
Here is the problem :
Everyone in the main office can send an receive mail to
anyone. Anyone that is except to the remote office. When
they try they get the folowing message :
Your message did not reach some or all of the intended
recipients.
The following recipient(s) could not be reached:
'(e-mail address removed)' on 11/07/2003 12:03
The e-mail account does not exist at the organization this
message was sent to. Check the e-mail address, or contact
the recipient directly to find out the correct address.
The remote office has no problems sending to the main
office and even if the main office reply to the remote
office mail they still get the same message.
The only thing that I can think could be causing the
problem is the address itself.
The E-Mail address of people in the main office is :
(e-mail address removed)
The E-Mail address of the remote office is :
(e-mail address removed)
For both addresses the "companyname.org" is the exactly
the same.
Is there something that I have to do to the Exchange
server, like somehow adding the remote office to the
domain.......?
Any help anyone can give will be greatly appreciated.
Regards
Eddie
