sending message to a distribution list

how do you send a message to a list of people in a
specific category or distribution list. i can't find the
instructions anywhere in Help for Outlook 2002. I have
set up the contacts with a category that I want to send a
message to.

View > By Category
Select the Category Header
Actions > New Message to Contact
