i am sending mht attachement from MS Outlook, under sent items I see the
attachement right...my partners are getting it as envelop and not as the
original file. What do they need to do in order to receive it as mht file?
(using MS Outlook 2003)

are they also using outlook? is their antispam filter deleting that file
type? Have you tried zipping it?

.mht outlook attachment fails.

I have exactly the same problem. Sending .mht file is received as a yellow
envelope icon with same file size and alternate extension. Attempt to change
extention to .mht fails to open in internet explorer.

I have no solution yet.

Yep. I have identical problem. .mht from excel or word consistently fail to
be received intact. Recipient sees a little yellow envelope that will not
open.

If I send the excel files to another computer that is not affected by the
problem,
then save as .mht and send back to the affected computer, attachments are
intact and may be forwarded to recipients.

Zipping is an unacceptable work around. Recipients do not have zip. Please
don't tell
me to zip it only aggravates me.
