Sending myself email messages in Word 2003

B

Barry Karas

I must send myself email messages when I want to send several copies of the
same message WITHOUT all the recipients' email addresses (and names) being
shown. I do this by:

1. putting my email address in the TO row; and

2. putting the recipients' email addresses (and names) in the BCC (blind
carbon copy) row.

Is there a way to send email messages when I want to send several copies of
the same message WITHOUT all the recipients' email addresses (and names)
being shown in the TO column -- by another method? If so, please describe.

Thank you,

Barry Karas

Hi Barry

you can do it by using emailmerging from Outlook Contacts. The steps are
posted here pretty regularly - if you don't find them come back and I'll
post them here for you.

No. Start in Outlook. Close Word.

Select the Contacts you want to merge to. Then:

Tools | Mailmerge | Merge to email | write a subject in the new window that
appears | OK
Word will start up. The toolbar that says "Insert Word Fields" is the one
you use for all subsequent steps. You move along it fromleft to right to
perform the following steps:

Carefully use the Insert Merge Fields button (NOT insert Word Fields) to
insert FirstName after you type Dear
Write the email and each any other fields you want.
Click ABC button to View Merged Data.
Click the forward arrow beside the 1 window to see subsequent records.
Click Merge to email and OK.
Now it sends.
