sending tasks via email

Greetings,

This is a newbie-type question...

I have Project Professional 2002. I would like to assign tasks to different
resources and have the task assignments emailed to them so they appear in
their Outlook task list.

Is this possible without Project Server? Please tell me how.

Hi Scot,

Welcome to the Microsoft Project newsgroup :)

Yes - have a read of the Help screens under Workgroups. You'll need to run
wgsetup.exe on each of the recipients' PCs.
