I have a DSL network at work, but a dial-up connection at home. I use a
laptop and travel between these connections. I can recieve my e-mail messages
at home, but I can't send anything while connected to my dial-up connection-
can anyone help me?

Hi,

What would be the version of Outlook you are working on?
Secondly, since we have issues sending emails at home, are we getting any
error messages (including any error codes)?
Since you are on different networks on both the locations, it could possibly
be affecting your capability to send emails.
Re-check your email account settings as it should be favourable when you are
at home, for you to send emails through a dial-up connection.

Thanks,

Mittu

outlook 2003

this is the error message I get when I try to send from home:

Task 'pop3.windermere.com - Sending' reported error (0x800CCC0F) : 'The
connection to the server was interrupted. If this problem continues, contact
your server administrator or Internet service provider (ISP).'

Hi,

Looks like the issue is related to the outgoing mail server settings in your
email account when you send emails at work. Mostly, the outgoing server
settings should be related to the Internet Service Provider Settings.
SO if you have any other settings under SMTP (Tools> Email Accounts> View or
change existing email accnts>) try making the corrections to include it as
per ISP settings.
Since Outlook does work at Office and not at home, it's more of an account
setting issue rather than Outlook client.

You could take a look onto the link below for any additional t/s.

Thanks,

Mittu
