My company creates training material. We create our
products in Word so that we can share e-files with our
clients for customization. In the past, we have been able
to send these files to press because they were constructed
as 2/color jobs (black and a spot color). Now, we are
creating them as 4/color jobs. We can successfully send
them to press when the color items are embedded graphics
(we send the Word file plus the eps graphics), but not
when the color items are part of the Word file, i.e. text,
lines, tables etc.
I am looking for a way to send my Word files containg both
embedded graphics and color Word elements to an
imagesetter to produce film. When we send them, they crash
at the RIP because we are mixing both CMYK elements (color
EPS graphics) and RGB elements (Word components).
