SendKeys

Dear all

I'm aware that the SendKey method is not very elegant. Anyway, maybe
somebody can help:

I use the German Office 2003 (so letters to be sent are obviously
different in the English Outlook).

When I send

SendKeys "%ca" (change to calendar)

I can't continue with other calendar-specific SendKey commands because
the process seems to be not finished (menus are still empty). The
parameter True or SendKey "{Esc}" don't help.

Maybe you could explain what it is you're actually trying to accomplish. There might be a better solution than SendKeys.

Hi Sue,

This is still the problem of 25 May (to open a certain group calendar; see
this newsgroup). If you could advice a reasonable way to go to the calendar
folder, I know how to get the group calendar (with SendKeys).

To be honest, I have a real problem to understand the Outlook-object
philosophy.

There are hundreds of messages in this newsgroup. Could you be a little more specific? In the meantime, take a look at the Explorer.SelectFolder method.

It's best to avoid SendKeys.

For an example of how to avoid using SendKeys, see my solution for setting
