SendObject Bug

D

Derek Wittman

I have been trying for some time to get SendObject to work when I run different actions on a macro from the same form. However, here's what I learned. Microsoft's Knowledge Base informed me that MS is aware of the SendObject bug and it can manifest itself a few ways. 1) The SendObject doesn't fail, but the email is never created nor sent, or 2) one of several error messages result.

Here's what I figured out
At the end of the Macro with the SendObject, I have an RunApp action which opens another iteration of MS Access, including the database I'm in. Then, it closes the iteration I started in with the Startup going to the main form

Not the cleanest-looking solution due to the screen updates. And since I'm opening iterations of the application, Echo OFF doesn't work. Is there a way to just close and reopen the database itself from the macro? I realize I am limiting my options by not using VBA, but I'm not familiar with VBA at all

Thank you
Derek
