Just detected that on my system (running under Vista) the "Send to
OneNote" printer is missing (can not say how and why and since when).

What can I do to get it back?
Is there any other way than a re-install?

TIA

Are you running 64 bit Vista? I am and I have to live without the OneNote
printer. I am so bummed!

Hm, I wonder if it could be shared on my 32 bit machine that syncs its
OneNote notebook with my 64 bit desktop...

No, I'm running Vista Business 32-bit.
And I think to remember that initially the ON printer was there.

Hm, maybe try a repair of OneNote from Add/Remove programs?

Been there, done it.
Did not help.
a) The list for adding/removing features does not have an option for
ON;
b) repair did nothing in so far. The printer is still missing.

Seems that there is no way but a re-install.
I'm wondering whether I should over-install or uninstall and make a
fresh install from scratch; the letter would mean to loose the settings
and I would like to avoid that.
Or is there a way to save the current settings and restore them later?

Anybody any suggestion?

Hi there. I had the same problem. It turned out to be the dutch
language pack I had installed with my english office. uninstall the
pack, leave the original was the only remedy for me....

Thanks for sharing your experience.
There are no language packs in my system.

Lieben Dank, Patrick!
Had really be waiting for you to jump in.

Sorry, but remove and reinstall is the only option.

That's what I thought/feared.
Is there a way to save settings prior to uninstalling ON?

P.S. A very strange thing which bothered me very much (and about which
wir Zweig bidden katholischen Pfarrestöchter had quite some lengthy
discussions) re-appeared today - so far unseen since final:
Whatever I do , in ON (and *only*there* <!>) my keyboard reacts as if
it was QWERTY.
Any way to fix this?

Your settings should be mostly untouched by the removal / reinstall.
Hmm, you have DE or EN in the language bar?

Thanks for your immediate reply, Patrick!

OK. So I'll go this way.

Sorry, I do nor have it active because I thought I won't need (at least
I did not need it so far). And everything was fine until today. And
been too long ago that you taught me about the usage of this thing
which I had never used before because of not being needed until working
with ON {siiiigh}.
The "Sprach- und Landeseinstellungen" applet shows German and English
being installed and German activated. And no other application except
ON exhibits a problem ...

Perhaps I first un- and re-install and the see if the ghost may have
disappeared.

Thanks again. Und halt die "Ohren steif" bei den McKs ;-)

Language problem solved.
Self-healing ;-)
Today - after having rebooted - everything is well in ON in so far.
