Any attachments I add to my h Entourage e-mail messages become illegible to the recipient. The attachments work fine with mac mail.
What is the problem here?

Does this affect all kinds of attachments, or only specific ones? Do all
your recipients use Windows, and if so, do they use the same email client?
As a general rule, make sure to append file name extensions to your file;
you can have Entourage do this for you (Entourage>Preferences, Compose).
Furthermore, make sure the encoding in that same section is set to either
"Any Computer (AppleDouble)" or "Windows (MIME/Base64)".

I had a similar problem using Entourage 2008. In my case it turned
out to be the font I was using (in Word, for example). The Cambria
font was set as the default when I got the program, and I liked it so
used it. However, it turned out many of my clients (Windows users)
were getting gibberish when they would open the file or try to print
it. Switching to Times New Roman or Arial font solved the problem.

Thanks for your message!
Text attachments usually, but not always, work OK. it's always more complex attachments, such as photos and other scanned layouts of, for example, seating layouts at theaters, that get all fouled up. I would like to send you some of these, but how can I do that? Can you give me another e-mail address to attach some samples of such foul-ups? I am sure not all of my recipients use Windows.

You don't mention if you have changed the encoding preferences, as mentioned
in my previous message. Have you given it a try, and, more importantly, have
you noticed any changes?

Michael - I have done everything you suggested and when I tested an attachment (a color photograph jpeg) it did not transfer correctly. It broke down into a series of strips in various colors, obviously destroying the photo. Is there any way I can send you the photo?
