Sent & inbox msgs change font size

Using Outlook 2002 and after i send a msg, it goes from arial 10 to arial 12
bold.
Some of my inbox msgs arrive in arial 12 bold and and everything in my
preivew pane is arial 12 bold.
I have set my Word default font to arial 10 and all the Outlook fonts to
arial 10. Um...
