Sent Items not being removed from Outbox

Initially it seemed that our computers were not sending mail, however
recipients were getting the mail in dupilcate. We can also receive mail so
it wasnt that.

Would any of the latest updates from Microsoft for Outlook have any bug that
could cause this issue, or perhaps you may know of another reason mail seems
to be residing in the outbox.

Please help if you are able.

Are they sending over and over? What type of email account? If outlook is
supposed to copy the items to a sever and the communication is disrupted
they will remain in the outbox (but won't be sent again). Scanning outbound
mail with a virus scanner can also cause issues - but many times the
messages will send over and over.
