Sent mail creates a duplicate for every mail I send

Version: 2004
Operating System: Mac OS X 10.5 (Leopard)
Processor: intel
Email Client: imap

Every email I send, registers once immediately, then a second time, I think when the auto send receive happens (not sure if that's why). Anyway - it happens in all my mailboxes - Entourage, AOL, and on my Blackberry. All have two versions of every sent email - oddly - the size on each is different.
