Sent mail does not always appear in the sent items folder

Operating System: Mac OS X 10.4 (Tiger)
Processor: Intel
Email Client: imap

Running XServe with mail server 10.5. Mail is set to IMAP with Entourage 2004/8 as client. Sometimes a sent mail does not appear in the sent items folder. Occasionally, if you watch closely, it will flash up in the sent items then immediately disappear.

Do you possibly have View --> Unread Only selected for your Sent Iems
folder?

I have an IMAP server that does this to me periodically. I have to
rebuild the cache on the Sent Items folder to get the message to
appear.
