Sent mail review shows junk characters

This is with the Office 2008 - the sent message at the recipient is
seen properly. When the same message is reviewed by the sender it
shows junk characters. This happens with almost all mails.
Desperately seeking help to resolve.

I just noticed the same thing yesterday. A sent message ended up with one or two Chinese characters in it.

I am not sure if it is related, but exactly three hours later, Entourage quit receiving email.

The latter problem has happened to me once before. You end up being able to send, but not receive,and the problem is in Entourage, as OWA and Blackberrys work sans problem.

The latter is fixed by clearing the cache. I will monitor outbound mail to see if also resolves the stray character problem.

For the record, I use a three-year old MPro with 4 gigs of Ram on the last version of Leopard. Office is 2008 and fully upgraded.
