Sent Message needs to be deleted

I tried to send out an email with pics that was too big, and now the process
is slowing down my outlook. How do I delete the email from the Outbox, or
just make the process stop. The message window continues to tell me that the
message has already been sent, so I cannot delete it.

Delete an item stuck in the Outbox folder:
- Load Outlook.
- Put Outlook in offline mode (File -> Work Offline: enable).
- Exit Outlook.
- Load Outlook in its safe mode ("outlook.exe /safe"). This ensures no
plug-ins get loaded when Outlook is loaded. Reloading Outlook in
offline mode means it won't touch the stuck item. If Outlook ever
touches the item, you cannot delete it.
- Delete the stuck item in the Outbox folder.
- Put Outlook in online mode (File -> Work Offline: disable).
- Exit Outlook.
- Reload Outlook.

Even though I have followed your instructions, Outlook will not let me delete
the item. It continues to say that the item cannot be deleted because its
already been transmitted.

Did you make sure to put Outlook into offline mode AND exit Outlook (to
then reload Outlook in offline mode right away)?

Is there a copy of the message in both the Outbox and Sent Items folder?
You only mentioned the Outbox folder.

I could not get Outlook to start at all. I rebooted and tried to reopen
which worked, and along the way outlook wanted to start in safe mode which i
accepted. I then was able to delete the message without difficult, the first
time. I still hate microhard and outlook.

So "Aj" has now become "bretsharon"? Or are you trying to hijack
someone else's thread? If so, start your own to resolve YOUR problem.
Microsoft lies (not just hides) who is the poster in their headers.
Don't nymshift unless you want to get treated as troll.

You run the command that I showed. A path should not be required. If
required, add the full path to the file, as in:

"c:\program files\...\outlook.exe /safe"

where "..." is whatever is the rest of the path to the outlook.exe file.
Include the double-quotes in the command due to the use of space
characters in the path. You could also use the Start->Run menu and
browse to the outlook.exe file but add the /safe command-line parameter
before running the program.

Outlook running in it is safe mode has nothing to do with Windows
running in its safe mode. No reboot is required to run outlook in its
own safe mode. Outlook's safe mode affects how it loads and has nothing
to do with how Windows loads.

Apparently you put Outlook into offline mode. Then you exited Outlook.
You say that you couldn't then reload Outlook. What does "can't bring
it up" mean? How do you normally start Outlook?
