Sent msg hung up in Outbox in Outlook 2003

I sent about eight pictures as attachments to one e-mail and the e-mail is
hung up in the Outbox. When I double-click the message, a dialogue box says,
"Can't open this item. Outlook has already begun transmitting this message."
Regardless, it's been in the queue for two days and isn't going anywhere.
Right-clicking the message and the delete option does nothing. I'd like to
delete the message from the Outbox and I'd like to know if reducing the
number of photos I'm sending should prevent this from recurring.

hi,
there is a limitation on the size of mail that you can send that is set by
your ISP.
you cant send mails bigger than that, hence its get stuck in in your outbox.
In future you can send mails with 1 , 2 or even 30 pictures , the number of
pics doesn’t matter , but the size
after you add pics check the total size of email it should not be bigger
than (or equal) to the limit set by your ISP

to delete it follow these steps :
1 Click File > work offline (check it)
2 close outlook. ( click exit without sending )
3 reopen out look and try deleting message stcuk in outbox.
4 if it goes, click File > work offline (uncheck it).
