Good morning,

I have recently upgrade from Outlook 2000 to Outlook 2003, and use it to
connect to Gmail via POP3.

When sending emails, I have Outlook configured to change the 'Reply Email'
address . However when a recipient receives an email from me now it says
'[my name] sent on behalf of [reply email]'.

I don't understand why the upgrade has changed this, and more importantly
how to reconfigure it .

Regards,

Nick

Does the reply-to address differ from the address that you set in Outlook as the address associated with the account? If so, then I think you're seeing expected behavior.

Thanks for the response.

Can you please explain why?

It would seem a really daft thing for Microsoft to introduce given the large
number of small businesses that mask their real address in this way.
Especially as the headers show all anyway.

Many thanks for your time so far.

Can you advise why the on behalf of only appear in those mails I sent
internally and in my sent box. But the external party receiving didn't show
on behalf of...

What am I missing??
