Sent to mail recipient not highlighted

Operating System: Mac OS X 10.5 (Leopard)
Processor: Intel

Hey guys, Im trying to use the built in feature to send a excel workbook as mail attachemtn, but when I try and click on it, it isnt high lighted.

Any ideas how to get this working?

What email client are you using? That can make a difference in whether the
feature can be used.
